Sierra Recovery Center Residential Program
Thank you for your interest in Sierra Recovery Center. We are happy
you have decided to make a change in your life!
The residential treatment program facilitates up to 30 hours of
group, education and counseling each week. Services are provided
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is an hour and a half of fitness
recreation 3 times a week. Clients are given reading and writing
assignments to learn about their addiction and the consequences
that have resulted in their lives and help them attain to a higher
and more independent level of functioning.
Each client is assigned a primary counselor. An individualized
treatment plan is developed within 5 days of admission. Treatment
plans are reviewed and revised at a minimum of every 14 days or
at any significant change in status. The treatment team meets weekly
to discuss client cases and to develop treatment strategies. Case
management activities are assessed and facilitated by the primary
counselor and clients are assisted with transportation and support
in acquiring needed services. In addition to individual and group
counseling sessions, clients participate in a full-range of activities
including daily chores, on and off site 12-Step Meetings, voluntary
religious services and special projects and outings. SRC also offers
a Talking Circle and Sweat Lodge for clients who are interested
in Native American practices.
Clients move through phases of treatment that correspond with their
individual levels of improvement. PHASE I provides high intensity
services and structure. PHASE II provides medium intensity with
less structure; and PHASE III provides low intensity and structure
that permits off site privileges and job search opportunities.
Family Day is facilitated on Sunday of each week. Clients are encouraged
to invite their families to participate in education and group activities
in an effort to establish a more supportive environment for clients
to return to after completing treatment.
Unfortunately, MediCal and Medi-Care do not cover residential services.
S.S.I. may be billed for a portion of the bill, with prior approval
on a case-by-case basis. Some private insurance companies will not
cover our residential services due to the fact that we are a "social
model" facility. As such, clients are asked to pay for treatment
services by cash, credit, or check and then seek re-imbursement
from their insurance company. Please be aware that we do not have
funding for California residents residing outside of El Dorado County.
To access county funding, you must find a facility in the area that
you reside in, or plan to reside in. The Bureau of Alcohol and Drug
Abuse (BADA) is available to assist persons who live in Nevada (availability
of BADA funded beds is limited). All state funded programs work
on a sliding fee scale and payment options are available. All monies
must be accounted for and payment plans approved prior to entering
residential treatment.
** If you have prescribed medications, you must
bring a 30-day (or more) supply with you. You may be turned away
if you arrive without your prescriptions in your possession at he
time of admission.
** If you are incarcerated, please ask
about an Inmate Services Program for assistance.
